Winter Lawn Care

Caring for your lawn in winter ensures it's looking great for springtime!

Even though it doesn't seem to be actively growing, there are still some things you can do to ensure it remains healthy and ready to start thriving again come Spring, such as:

Avoid overwatering - switch off timers and water as needed, the tips of the leaves will curl slightly when needing a drink. Excess watering during winter can create unwanted compaction
Allow your lawn to grow slightly longer - this encourages better absorption of light and nutrients and blocks out weeds too
Tackle those pesky weeds - spraying them in winter prevents them from reaching the seeding stage and stops them spreading
Prevent lawn diseases - a healthy lawn is less susceptible to disease so it is important to manage health and nutrition. Winter temperatures and moisture increases risk of diseases and fungus which are harmful to your lawn
